Oppose the FDA Globalization Act of 2008

While the FDA Globalization Act of 2008 is still in discussion draft form, it needs to be addressed NOW. For starters, it would require us to pay $2,000 per year to register our business, and for importing ingredients (like shea butter): another $10,000 per year. I oppose it because it does nothing to enhance consumer safety, it will simply raise fees and require a lot of extra paperwork to be submitted to an already overburdened agency.
